Learn to Skate Program Director/Office
Job Responsibilities/Expectations
- Design and implement Learn to Skate program
- Oversee junior Learn to Skate staff
- Respond to parent inquiries
- Track student progress, and create seasonal student progress reports
- Oversee office and customer service responsibilities
- Answer phone calls and respond to voice and E-mail messages
- Provide customers with advice related to hockey/skating development
- Collect new or updated customer information and input into database
- Interact with customers to determine the most appropriate program for each participant
- Register participants into courses, collect payments, and issue receipts
- Interact with parents to provide feedback and promote NTR programs and initiative
Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Must possess a familiarity with hockey that would allow for an understanding of skill development and how participants would progress through NTR programs
- Coaching experience an asset
- NCCP and CanSkate certified
- First Aid and CPR (minimum level C)
- Vulnerable Sector Screening required
- Experience working with kids ages 3-15 an asset

Head Ice Hockey Instructor/Assistant Hockey Instructor
Job Responsibilities/Expectations
- Lead/assist various on-ice instructional programs (group and private lessons) as scheduled by the manager
- Assist with various office and administrative tasks as assigned by NTR Management
- Help to maintain the general and overall appearance of the facility, as required
- Provide constant encouragement and feedback to class/camp participants
- Supervise and direct assistant instructors
- Work to uphold the high standards of NTR programming
- Interact with parents to provide feedback and promote NTR programs and initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hockey playing experience, preferably at a high level (ie. Junior, University, Professional)
- Minimum 2 years of hockey coaching experience, preferably at a high level (ie. AA or AAA and higher)
- First Aid and CPR (minimum level C)
- Vulnerable Sector Screening required
- Experience working with kids ages 3-15 an asset
